Great place to meet friends and enjoy a quick meal at the same time have a flutter on the horses. On the downside would like to see more display boards with previous race dividends around the area instead of one facing members enclosure, another negative is, what is RCTC problem for us having to pay extra Rs500 for using our phone no logic here especially when phones are used for paying bills etc. RCTC please review your policy this is the 21st Century.
Outstanding food and service. Great ambience for a relaxing dinner meal. TV’s are not distracting to environment. Excellent views during day and night from the balcony. Enjoy cocktails on nice sofa before taking your seat for dinner. Going during the races is also fantastic.
Good place to hangout with friends, kids are not allowed. Even if don't do betting then also you can visit to enjoy the vibe.
Kolkata Race Course is the largest horse race (Polo) venue in India. The race course was built in 1820 and maintained by the Royal Calcutta Turf Club. The races are held from the month of July to September, and again from November to March. Such a beautiful horse race field.
Visited this place in the month of December. Spent most memorable time here. Was able to witness one of the rare sports.

A 40₹ ticket is required to entry and witness the races. The ticket and the main entrance gate is at Hastings stoppage.
Abundant bike parking is there.
Once you enter please refrain from using mobile phones in premise. You may use it once you are in gallery. An old kolkata vibe and essence will time travel you to ancient times.
Besides the endless green field, the colonial architecture style building is another thing to look for.

During race times betting is rampant and everything is legal there. People are very nice and friendly they would answer most of your curious questions regarding the process with one must suggestion "never try betting if you don't understand". 😉

The premier Turf club of Kolkata. Situated just beside the main stands it is a joy to watch the greenery and the majestic Victoria Memorial hall in the background. The food is exemplary. The staff is also very well behaved.
